Accent keyboard FAQ

A few useful details

Does this install a keyboard?

No. It is a browser-based composer. Select accented letters to add them to the text area, then copy the finished text.

Will accents work in email and social apps?

Yes in modern apps that support Unicode. The font may change the appearance, but the characters remain text.

What is the best method for writing another language every day?

Add that language's keyboard layout in your operating-system settings. It gives more complete punctuation, spell checking, and efficient typing.

Why can two identical accented letters behave differently in software?

Unicode can store some accents as one precomposed character or as a base letter plus a combining mark. Proper normalization prevents many search and comparison issues.
